All though they have a lot of proteins in them and a great alternative to meat, fish and eggs, they also contain relatively big amounts of carbohydrates.
We need some carbohydrates in our diet, but if you want to lose weight lentils and chick peas will affect your blodsugar levels and can trigger storage of fat.
Therefore we recommend eating relatively small amounts of lentils and chickpeas and eat them to dinner or evening. «A handfull» is a general rule you can follow to make sure you don’t eat too much, but you can enjoy the benefits from lentils and chickpeas too.
